Mr. Anderson came to Butler Snow after 13 years as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Mississippi, including four years as Chief of the Civil Division and 10 years as a Health Care Fraud Prosecutor.  He also served as Money Laundering Crimes Coordinator, Financial Crimes Prosecutor, Chief Asset Forfeiture Attorney, and Bankruptcy Fraud Prosecutor.  While serving as Civil Chief, Mr. Anderson had the distinction of representing the United States of America in a matter brought pursuant to the Privacy Protection Act of 1980, which concerned the seizure of two reporters' notes and audiotapes related to a speech presented by United States Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Since leaving the United States Attorney's Office, Mr. Anderson has represented physicians, health care practice groups, hospitals and other corporations and individuals in on-going criminal investigations and prosecutions.  He is a regular speaker on health care and white collar criminal law matters and, in addition to teaching Mass Media Law in the Communication Department, also teaches Appellate Advocacy, White Collar Crime and Health Fraud and Abuse at Mississippi College School of Law.
