Mississippi College

The Institute for Christian Leadership at Mississippi College exists to develop leaders by providing a variety of excellent leadership venues for students, faculty, and Christian ministry leaders in a manner suited for each student of leadership.

Each year the Institute hosts speakers in conjunction with lecturships sponsored by the Department of Christian Studies and Philosophy. Two of those events are:

1. The Evangelism Lectures -- held on the first Monday and Tuesday in February

Our lecturer for 2011-2012 was Dr. Gene Wilkes, pastor of Legacy Baptist Church in Plano, TX. He lectured on Evangelism Where You Are and Jesus on Leadership.

2. The Spell Lectures -- held on the 1st Monday and Tuesday in November

Our lecturer for 2012-2013 was Dr. Harold Bryson, former chair of the CSP Department. He lectured on his new book, History Under Control.
