The MC Experience
At the Department of Sociology and Social Work at Mississippi College, we approach our discipline from a uniquely Christian perspective. We are dedicated to nurturing the human dignity of every individual and fighting for the principles of equality, justice and freedom. We encourage students who are pursuing a sociology major to examine their own values, their relationship to their social environment and their role in the community from a global perspective that’s inspired by faith. As part of the MC Experience, our accelerated undergraduate Sociology program consists of eight-week courses that are offered at night to accommodate the busy schedules of working adults.
Small classes mean students receive more one-on-one attention and build strong mentoring relationships with instructors, leading to better learning in the classroom.
