The Faculty Authors Collection and the Alumni Authors Collection are located in the Mississippi College Room and include publications by or about Mississippi College faculty, alumni, and students. Many of these titles are duplicated in the circulating collection.

The Mississippi College Archives maintains research materials relating to Mississippi College and Central Female Institute/Hillman College history. The collection includes Mississippi College and Hillman catalogs and yearbooks, photographs, vertical files, scrapbooks, and other materials.

The Mississippi College Room/Mississippi College Archives is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., except during the noon hour and university holidays.

Reference Policy

The staff at the Mississippi College Archives will gladly assist researchers and the general public with requests. Reference requests are accepted through email, mail, and telephone; however, patrons who are able to visit the collection will be given priority. If you are not able to visit, the staff will provide as much research assistance as possible, but please realize that due to staffing limitations, in-depth research is not available.

Note: the following fees are not applicable to official requests from Mississippi College departments

Research Request Fees:
*The fee for a research request (email, mail, or phone) is $5.00 and is non-refundable. This fee covers up to two hours of research on behalf of the Mississippi College Archives staff. Payment will not be accepted to extend the two hour limit.

Photocopies/Mailing Fees:
*All photocopies of materials will be charged at $.15 per page in addition to a $2.00 set mailing fee.
