Publishers of some of our databases restrict use to the Mississippi College internet domain.  Because of this, MC students, faculty, and staff are not able to use these resources from home through their own Internet service provider.  However, you can now connect to these resources by way of the library's proxy server (EZproxy) with your MC campus network login.

EZproxy will connect you to almost all MC library electronic resources linked from the Electronic Databases library page.  Select an electronic resource and enter your NOVELL username and password (here is a screenshot of the login page).

• You only have to do this once per session.  When you log off your current online session, the system forgets your user name and password, so the authentication box will appear again when you reconnect and try to access one of these library resources.

• There are some resources that cannot be accessed through EZ Proxy like First Search and some electronic journals.

A word about passwords from MCnet: If you wish to change your password you may do so at /mcnet/admin/.  It is important that if you change your Novell password that you also change your GroupWise password   and vice versa. Changing one does not automatically change the other! Your GroupWise password is for e-mail and your Novell password is for Network, FTP and all other access.
