About Me
I have taught in higher education for the past ten years at Belhaven University, Alcorn State University and Jackson State University. You may find my research published in the Journal of Academy of Business and Economics (2006), the Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (2002) and the Journal of Behavioral and Applied Management (forthcoming). My research interests include topics in the field of organizational behavior and adult learners. When I am not teaching and mentoring students, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Tony, and our two sons Samuel (8) and Kristopher (5).
EDUCATION:
Ph.D., Jackson State University, College of Business, Jackson, Mississippi. Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration, Major: Management, Minor: Economics, May 2004.
Dissertation Title: "Organizational Commitment in Higher Education: A Multi-
dimensional Perspctive". In the study, I examined the antecedents and consequences
of organizational commitment among faculty at institutions of higher learning. The
findings revealed various factors that lead to job satisfaction, including those
unrelated to compensation.
