Assistant Professor, Psychology & Counseling
Dr. Lemon received her Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education from Mississippi State University in August of 2010. She received her Master of Education in Counseling Education from Mississippi College in May of 1995. Her research interests have been in the areas of wellness, spirituality, and mind-body therapy, and she has studied the effects these factors have on emotional and physical health. In addition to the Ph.D. from Mississippi State, Dr. Lemon received a doctoral degree from Louisiana Baptist University in Christian Counseling, and she has a Crisis Counseling Certification from the University of Alabama with special training in somotoform disorders and chronic illness due to trauma.
Dr. Lemon is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a LPC Board Qualified Supervisor, a member of the National Board for Certified Counselors, and a member of the National Board for Certified School Counselors. She currently serves on the Advisory Board of Directors for the Central Mississippi Salvation Army.
