Janet Taylor

About Me

Janet Martindale Taylor holds the Master of Music degree in piano performance from Louisiana State University (1968) and the Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from Mississippi College (1967).  She teaches applied piano to students at all levels, from piano emphasis music majors to beginning students.  She also teaches Aural Skills I and II  and Piano Fundamentals I and II (class piano.)

Mrs. Taylor has served as an adjudicator for piano festivals in Mississippi and Louisiana. She has performed in chamber music ensembles, as accompanist for vocal recitals and in duo/duet piano performances with her husband, Ralph Taylor, and also with music department colleague Angela Willoughby.

Since 1980, Mrs. Taylor has served as organist/pianist at Providence (previously Westminster) Presbyterian Church.  She and her husband are members of First Baptist Church, Clinton.

Mrs. Taylor is the wife of Ralph Taylor, retired professor of music at Mississippi College.  They have one daughter and three granddaughters.
