Lewis Oswalt
Welcome to my home page. It has been my pleasure to be a part of the MC faculty since 1989, teaching courses in music theory, church music, and music history.
About Me
I am a native of Hammond, Louisiana, and a 1975 graduate of Mississippi College. Following a year of graduate study at the University of Southern Mississippi, I was employed as a church musician for several years.
I went back to school in 1984 at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and joined the MC faculty in 1989. I completed my doctoral work in 1991.
My wife and I reside in Clinton and are the parents of three children. My hobbies include outdoor activities such as hiking, running, kayaking, and cycling. I am radio announcer for Clinton High football and public address announcer for various high school and college sporting events.
I am currently working with the music ministry of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Jackson.
