I am a native of Lexington (Mississippi not Kentucky). I attended Mississippi Valley State University where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. After which, I attended graduate school at Jackson State and later Louisiana State University where I received my doctorate in chemistry.
I have served as an instructor of chemistry at Southeastern Louisiana University and as Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Mississippi Valley and Alcorn State Universities before coming to MC.
I am a member of the American Chemical Society, Alpha Chi Sigma National Chemistry Fraternity, and the Mississippi Academy of Science.
When not teaching, I am quite busy with our children; Conja, Quincii Faith, and Willem Asher. My family and I are members of Morrison Heights Baptist Church.
