Mississippi College

Phase I:  Clear ALL holds on your account

  • You must have a $0 balance on your account in the business office to be able to begin your application and sign-up for housing.
  • Holds that prevent you from registering for classes will also prevent you from signing up for housing.

Phase II: Apply for On-Campus Living & Choose Your Roommate/Roommate Group (UP Only) (Starts February 25)

  • Apply for housing
  • Edit & Update your Contact Information
  • Create your Housing Profile
  • Request or find a roommate of your choosing
  • If Applying for UP (University Place), create your roommate group

Phase III:  Room Selection & Housing Confirmation (Review Priority Timeline Below)

  • If you are applying for UP, Residence Life will assign rooms and notify you of your assignment by March 12th.  UP assignments will be decided by seniority.
  • If you do not get a UP apartment or want to live in another residence hall, you will return to the housing portal on your assigned priority date as listed below to begin the room selection process.
  • If you have confirmed a roommate and each of you have accepted your roommate requests then only one of you will need to sign you up for an available double room.
  • Roommates will need to choose a completely empty double room (2/2) if you want to be together.

Roommate requests are not guaranteed. It is a student’s responsibility to ensure that when selecting a room, if they have a confirmed roommate request, that the roommate is also placed in the room.  Requesting a roommate after you have chosen a room will not automatically pull the person into the room.

Any student (current or new) who has applied for housing but misses the opportunity for room selection (which closes July 31, 2015), will have their room assigned by the Office of Residence Life according to room availability and the room preferences designated on the housing application.

Please read the  Online Housing Instructions before you begin your application and room selection. These instructions provide a clear step-by-step outline of the application and room selection process.

If you need ADA Accomodations, you must have contacted and completed all necessary documentation with Counseling and Disability Services by Friday, May 22nd.  Failure to do so will result with the inability for Residence Life to make any necessary accommodations.
