Mississippi College offers graduate programs in a Christian environment that combines faith and learning. A student who enrolls in a graduate program at MC becomes part of a community whose members share a set of common values and care about each other.
About MeI now am starting my 40th year of teaching in Mississippi, but you could easily say that I have been in education all of my life. I am the son of a teacher. I grew up in Carthage, Mississippi and graduated from Carthage High School. I attended East Central Community College. I received my BS and MEd. from Mississippi State University and my Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi. I have 31 years of experience in teaching and administration in the public schools of Mississippi having taught in Carthage, Forest, and Oxford. I served as an education consultant for three years working in various districts all over the state. I am now starting my fifth year of teaching at the university level.
I enjoy my work and am excited each and every day that I get to be involved in the education of our state's greatest resource and that is our teachers and students. It is my privilege to be involved in the training of teachers who wish to become educational leaders in our schools. It is my hope that through my experience and knowledge that I can help educate them in a manner that will enable them to become great leaders in our schools and ambassadors for Mississippi College.
