Growing up as the middle of three brothers in Ridgeland, MS, I am a 100% locally grown Mississippian. After graduating from Jackson Preparatory School, I joined the student population of Mississippi College, graduating in 2006 with a B. S. in Biological Medical Sciences. I graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School in 2011 as a Doctor of Medicine. I taught for 2 years at Jackson Preparatory School, where I taught Geometry, Biology, and Anatomy and Physiology. It is a joy to be part of the college faculty where I was well educated and enjoyed my years as a student.
On a personal side, my interests reach far beyond the halls of academia and text books. My hobbies include working in my yard, woodworking, painting, music, wood-fired pottery, good literature, and getting to know people. In addition, I am a licensed minister, and a member and elder at Grace City Church. My interests cover everything from theology to tomatoes and people to pottery and penguins.
Finally, it is my joy to teach. I believe education is not just a receiving and memorizing of facts, but a holistic exploration of wonder and glory. It is my goal to engage students in this journey.
