I earned a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Mississippi in 1987 and a Bachelor of Music in Applied Piano from Mississippi College in 1974.
About Me
Originally from Memphis, TN, I studied piano with Pernie Wiley for 11 years. I attended Mississippi College from 1970-1974 where I studied piano with Ralph Taylor. I accompanied for Chapel Choir under Rolland Shaw, Concert Choir under Jack Lyall and for student recitals. At the University of Mississippi I studied under Natalia DaRosa and Raymond Liebau. I also was the accompanist for the instrumental department and taught non-major piano classes. Following graduation, I worked as a staff accompanist from 1987-88.I have maintained a private piano studio since 1974. I have been an adjudicator for the Mississippi Music Teachers Association, National Federation of Music Teachers and the Mississippi Baptist Convention Hymn Festival. I am a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers.
I have served as pianist for churches in Tennessee, Texas, Arkansas and Mississippi and currently serve at First Baptist Church, Raymond, MS.
