Welcome to my page!  I am excited to be a part of the faculty at MC and to have the opportunity to lead the Physician Assistant Program.  As part of physician-directed healthcare teams, PAs will improve access to medical care for hundreds of Mississippians. •    1978 Served as a flight medic in Hawaii
•    1984 BS from Belhaven College
•    1980-84 OR Technician at University of MS Med Ctr.
•    1986 U.S. Army Artillery Officer, Ft. Richardson, AK
•    1990 Artillery Commander, Ft. Rucker, AL
•    1992 MS in Counseling Psychology, Troy State University at Dothan
•    1992 National Health Service Corps Scholarship
•    1994 MMSc from Emory University  PA Program
•    1995 Served as a PA in rural Parrish, FL
•    1998-2006  Clinical Assistant Professor, University of FL PA Program
•    2003 Served in Operation Iraqi Freedom
•    2004 Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne relief operations, FL Army National Guard
•    2005 Hurricane Katrina relief operations, FL Army National Guard
•    2005 PhD from University of Florida
•    2006 Completed Fellowship in Medical Education from UF College of Medicine
•    2006 Executive Director, Team Based Learning Collaborative
•    2006-2009 Department Chairman, South University PA Program
•    2009 Moved to MS to develop MC Physician Assistant Program
