Willa M. Russell
About Me
I am a native of Lexington (Mississippi not Kentucky). I attended Mississippi Valley State University where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. After which, I attended graduate school at Jackson State and later Louisiana State University where I received my doctorate in chemistry.I have served as an instructor of chemistry at Southeastern Louisiana University and as Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Mississippi Valley and Alcorn State Universities before coming to MC.
I am a member of the American Chemical Society, Alpha Chi Sigma National Chemistry Fraternity, and the Mississippi Academy of Science.
I have one son, Conja who attends Clinton High. My family and I are members of Morrison Heights Baptist Church.
