About Me
Dr. Wayne VanHorn is married (wife Terri), has three children (Erin, Nathan, and Benjamin) and four grandchildren (Mike, Dane, Leigh, & Judah). He taught at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary for nine years in the Masters and Ph.D. programs (1985-1993) then served as pastor of the First Baptist Church of Columbia, MS for 12.5 years (1993-2005) before coming to teach at MC in June 2005. He served as chair of the Department of Christian Studies and Philosophy for five years (2005-2010). Since 2006, Dr. VanHorn has been serving as Dean of the School of Christian Studies and the Arts. Dr. VanHorn maintains an active speaking, conference and writing schedule.
