Webb Collums was born and raised in Jackson, MS. He graduated from Mississippi College in 1995. He is married to Holly Gilmer and has 2 children: Hannah (12) and Emma (9). They are members of Bellwether Church in Jackson. Webb started fishing at a young age and began a competitive career in 2003. He got his start with the Fishers of Men trail and then progressed to the Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League (BFL). He then progressed to the FLW Everstart Series in 2009 and 2012. Webb has fished 6 BFL regionals and the 2012 Everstart Championship. He fishes several local team circuits and charity tournaments and won Anglers of the Year in 2011 Media Bass circuit.
Webb began in the summer of 2011 with Mississippi College Bass Fishing as their coach. He enjoys having the opportunity to teach young men and women about the sport and helping them to become more prolific anglers. His goal as coach is to educate the anglers so that they can go to any lake in the country, look at the time of year and the cycle that the fish are in, choose the proper baits and presentations, and be able to catch fish.
He would like to thank our spnosors Duncan Marine and Ranger Boats for their support of the Mississippi College Fishing program and Providence Hill Farm for a first class facility that allows the anglers to practice and hone the skills needed to compete in the National Guard FLW College Fishing series.
