Adjacent to the Hederman Science building, the new medical sciences facility includes:
- 4,800 sq. ft cadaver lab
- histology lab
- two spacious lecture halls
- four faculty research labs
- faculty offices
It will be used by undergraduates, graduates, and students in the Physician's Assistant program. The cadaver lab can accommodate 21 cadavers, providing ample opportunity for students to further prepare themselves for medical school. This is the only facility of its kind in the state of Mississippi that aims to prepare undergraduate and graduate students alike for medical school.
