Stephanie Dickson Busbea
Interim Dean, School of Christian Studies and the Arts and Professor - Art
Dr. Stephanie Busbea is the Interim Dean of the School of Christian Studies and the Arts. She holds three degrees in Art Education and a minor in Educational Leadership from the University of Mississippi.
Dr. Busbea is a Professor in the Department of Art. She joined MC’s faculty in 1997 and currently teaches Aesthetics, Modern Art History, and Art Appreciation. Her current research includes Choctaw weavers and contemporary responses to their work.
Dr. Busbea is the Past-President of the Mississippi Art Education Association. She was awarded several leadership awards from the MAEA and two leadership awards from the National Art Education Association.
Dr. Busbea attends Colonial Heights Baptist Church and volunteers with But God Ministries and Samaritan’s Purse.
