...Share Your Culture With All Mankind
The inscription on MC's gates reminds us to “Depart to share your culture with all mankind.” The Office of Global Education brings students from around the world to study at MC as a means to experience our culture first hand; inspiring them with faith, hope, and love. Here, these students have the opportunity to receive an unrivaled education, be immersed in a community filled with the love of Christ, and to broaden the horizons of the students around them. Almost weekly, the Office of Global Education hears from students that back home. Their parents have hit hard times to the point they’re uncertain when they can continue their education without transferring out. In response, we have created two funds designed to assist our international students, and we want to partner with you!
I grew up in a country environment in southern India. My first few days at Mississippi College were challenging. I was very nervous and confused. The faculty and the staff at the Office of Global Education played a very crucial role in addressing all of my concerns and walked me through every situation. After the successful completion of a master’s degree in health administration, I was able to find a position in a residency program and then work as a full-time physician in Jackson, Mississippi. I am proud to make a difference in this great community.”
— Ramachandram from India, MD, MHSA
From arranging cultural events to providing tutors for struggling international students, the Office of
Global Education does everything in their power to provide a nurturing, supportive environment for
students. It took some time, but I gradually grew into MC’s culture and learned to get more involved in
student activities across campus. I am part of the symphonic and jazz bands, the chemistry society, and
SGA Senate, which has allowed me to contribute back to the student body and increase my
experiences.”
— Isaac from Malaysia, Junior – Biochemistry
“Playing sports in college while pursuing a degree in the US was my life dream, and coming to MC made
it come true. I chose MC because of the academic and athletic reputation. My coach is enthusiastic and
encouraging. My professors are very nice, always willing to help and answer any question. I am proud
to be a student athlete here at MC and I can say that I have taken a great step towards my future by
being here.”

Your Support Makes A Difference
International Opportunity Fund
All ticket sales to the International festival (Spring semester) go here. This fund is a "benevolence fund" that helps any needy international students who run into sickness and the like.
Pletzchen scholarship
Designed to recruit and retain academically driven international students, 100% of gifts to the Pletzchen fund go to scholarships. This year we’ve given small one-year awards each semester to graduate students, but we don’t want to leave out undergraduate international students. Our goal for this endowment fund is $100,000.00.
