Assistant/Associate Professor - Department of Mathematics

Mississippi College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in Mathematics, starting in August 2025. The successful candidate must hold a doctorate in Mathematics and demonstrate strong instructional skills, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to providing high-quality service to students.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach approximately 12 hours per week and hold office hours for student counseling and support.
  • Utilize technology, including online homework systems, in teaching.
  • Develop and teach courses in the university's online program.
  • Serve as a resource person for part-time instructors assigned to other mathematics service courses.
  • Participate in departmental and campus-wide committees.
  • An active research program involving undergraduate students is encouraged.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Mathematics.
  • Proven instructional skills and experience.
  • Experience with educational technology and online homework systems.
