Student Mailbox & Key
Resident students are assigned an MC mailbox when they begin school in freshman year. This mailbox number will remain the same for all 4 years and should appear on all mail and packages that come in.
Students need to pick up their mailbox key at the Alumni Hall location. The mailbox and key are free of charge. If students lose their key throughout the semester, there is a $5 fee for a replacement.
Addressing of Student Mail and Packages
It is important that students use the correct address and their assigned Box Number when sending packages and letter mail. Please use your proper full name, no nicknames. Your address will be as follows:
First name, Last name
Box # XXXX
Miss College
200 S Capitol St
Clinton, MS 39058
Student Mailbox (Letter Mail)
All letter mail will be placed in your mailbox in Alumni Hall. If you receive a letter that is too large to fit into your mailbox you will receive a notification slip in your mailbox to retrieve your letter at the front counter in Alumni Hall Mailroom.
Express, certified, insured, and or registered letters will NOT be placed in your mailbox in Alumni Hall regardless of size; you will need to pick those up at Campus Operations.
Student Mailbox (Packages)
All packages can be picked up at the Campus Operations location, previously known as the Physical Plant.
All correctly addressed packages received by Campus Operations will be available for pick-up once they are scanned into the package notification system. When you have a package available for pick-up, an email notification is sent to your mc email address. Students should bring a photo ID when picking up packages.
Campus Operations personnel sign for all accountable mail. You do not have to personally sign for the initial delivery.
If you have not received your package and you believe that it should have arrived, bring the tracking number and personnel will try to locate the package.
Packages will be returned to the sender if not picked up within 30 days.
Closing Your Mailbox/Mailbox Key Return
If students graduate, withdraw, or move off campus the key must be returned to the Alumni Hall mailroom staff ONLY!!
Please check your mailbox one last time before returning the key. Do not turn your mailbox key into resident life as they are not responsible for your key.
If the key needs to be returned through the mail, please tape the key to an index card and place it inside a mailing envelope. Include your name, Box number, and 700# on the index card and mail it to the below address.
