It’s never been more important to ensure we authentically tell our story to a broader audience. In 2018, we took a good look at ourselves and saw inconsistencies in how we talk about and represent Mississippi College, including various logo applications and messaging. With the 200th anniversary approaching, for the first time in MC’s history, we have put together a comprehensive brand strategy that unites all of MC.
An extensive reputation strategy project clearly defined MC's authentic personality and master positioning strategy. This research-based, multi-phase, university-wide process helped guide creative expression while shaping and reinforcing our story and personality – defining what makes us uniquely MC with our audiences. Feedback from more than 1,500 prospective students, current students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members helped direct the development of the brand.
Yes, it matters! Mississippi College’s brand standards were designed to tell the University’s story by sharing our unique attributes. It describes our positioning, personality and voice and conveys who we are. These guidelines ensure that we project a unified voice that strengthens both our internal and public communications. It’s essential to accurately portray the MC brand experience to remain consistent in all aspects of our image.

No. The new brand will be phased in over time. Continue to use existing materials such as letterheads, business cards, brochures, etc., until they need to be reordered. Any new items ordered should use the new branding exclusively.
