John McDonald

A native of Jackson, John McDonald brings more than 30 years of experience to MC Archery. A 1982 Forest Hill High School graduate, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in music from Delta State University in 1988 and a master’s degree in education from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1999.

McDonald served as the archery instructor at Copiah Lincoln Community College from 2015-18. A certified coach and judge, he represents Mississippi in the U.S. Collegiate Archery Association. A longtime Mississippi high school band director, he served as band director for Lawrence County High School in Monticello, where he founded the six-time state championship-winning archery program for Lawrence County Schools.
