Core Requirement
Chapel exercises are a significant part of the University’s educational program, and attendance is a part of the requirements for graduation. Chapel is part of the university core requirements to graduate. The number of required semesters is outlined below based upon the number of hours you have entering MC.

For transfer students transferring more than the 65 hours applicable toward a degree, the Chapel requirement is 2 semesters. Transfer students should enroll in Chapel during their first semester. There are no excused absences from Chapel.
All Freshmen are required to register for Chapel during their first semester. Chapel can be completed through Large Group Chapel experiences and/or Chapel+ opportunities. A student will not receive credit for Chapel attendance in any semester in which he or she does not meet the attendance requirements. There are no excused absences from Chapel.

What section of Chapel should I register for?
- Two sections of weekly Large Group Chapel are available each fall and spring semester:
- Chapel: 11:00am-12:15pm
- Chapel: 12:30pm-1:45pm
- All students may register for either section of Chapel based on seating availability and the section that fits their class schedule best.
